DIY: Glitter Gift Wrap

I just love gift wrapping! It is one of my favourite crafty things to do as I love making a gift for a loved one or friend that extra bit special with a handmade touch.

This little gift wrapping idea is super easy and can give your gifts a touch of gold glitz in under 15 minutes! Prepare to have your work space glitter bombed after doing this DIY though! Ha!

Let’s make some glitter gift wrap!

How to make gold glitter gift wrap

Wrap your present with coloured wrapping paper. I have wrapped up a copy of my Happy Mail Day zine and a few other DIY Kiosk goodies for a lovely reader.

Seal gift with pretty patterned washi tape! Also one of my favourite materials to craft with!

Make different patterns on your gifts using double-sided tape. I have chosen to make stripe, zig-zag and polka-dot pattern paper.

To make the polka-dot paper I used double-sided adhesive and punched out some circles with a craft punch.

Peel off the non-stick layers of double-sided tape.

Lay gold glitter out onto a craft or serving tray.

Dunk your gifts into the glitter. Press down a few times until all the sticky areas have been covered in the glitter.

Turn gift over and admire your handy work!

Time to shake off the remaining glitter! I recommend you go outside to do this.
Tip: Use a tissue to brush off the non-stick glitter.

Have fun coming up with different patterns to make your gold glitter decorated gifts. I will be revisiting this gift wrapping idea again for Christmas!
